In Khamaekra, a parallel world where hybrids are killed to preserve the Kevokhar species' sentient magic, an abrasive hunter, Arokhal, is ordered to surrender his only friend: Amin, a way too powerful hybrid from his childhood. Arokhal decides to save him instead, but this task is much more involved than he's comfortable with. Additionally, he has to team up with people he otherwise never would've had: a hated spy, an unwilling but resourceful teen, a human with surprising connections and Amin himself, who'd rather give up his terrifying magic than utilize it in any way.

How will they save Amin and all the other hybrids, and can their delicate friendship survive all of this?
