Khamaekra is a parallel world to earth, inhabited by magical beings of all sorts. One of its less peaceful species are the Kevokh, proud human-like beings equipped with not only wing-magic but also the ability to host so-called 'muras', powerful magics that run in certain bloodlines. However, mura Bearers are extremely rare and highly sought-after for their pure-bloodedness and thus immense magical abilities, especially since Kevokhs are facing extinction due to low numbers and an ever-increasing problem of hybridization with humans. Orazhar, the head of the Kevokh military, has made it his goal to channel the powers of the Bearers to protect the future of his species by relentlessly chasing and exterminating hybrids as well as any Kevokhs mingling with humans or hybrids.

Arokhal is a smug, lazy womanizer, Orazhar's only son... and considered a genius Bearer. Despite the perks of being in that position, he doesn't enjoy being on call to do his father's bidding day in and day out. On one such call, he is sent to the human world to catch - but not kill - an escaped hybrid for his father; an easy thing to do for a Bearer like him. Upon finding the hybrid, however, he realizes it's someone he knows from his past: Amin is also a Bearer, and not just any one - he hosts two muras instead of just one, an unheard-of anomaly even for pure-blooded Kevokhs, let alone a hybrid! Aro senses a once-in-a-lifetime chance to break free from the military and the constant demands of his father... with the help of Amin's powers. Amin, however, isn't about to just let himself be used, not to mention his muras easily get out of control and are more danger than asset. Will Arokhal succeed in winning Amin over and tame his muras? And can he find the strength and resources to face off his father so he can finally live life on his own terms?
